December is the month of opening Nordic Light, the most recent real estate development in the Váci road office corridor. The lease agreements have already been signed for approximately 80 percent of the premises. The complex is LEED gold certified and includes many green and sustainable features.
The major part of the new office building developed by Skanska has already been chosen by tenants before its official opening ceremony which is going to be held on Thursday, 1st December 2016. The following companies decided to move its operations to Nordic Light complex: Schneider Electric, M&C, Harman Becker, BASF, Monsanto, Mercedes-Benz, Cofidis Hungary. The catering services of the office complex are also expanding rapidly: guests and visitors will have the opportunity to dine at the Dominium Restaurant or have a cup of coffee at Cafe Frei or in Dominium’s Café.
“I would like to thank our tenants for choosing Nordic Light and I strongly believe they will enjoy all features and amenities of the complex. Throughout the development of Nordic Light, one of our priorities was to create a workplace with an atmosphere where people truly enjoy spending their time in.” - says Marcin Łapiński, Managing Director of Skanska Property Hungary and Romania – “Our tenants show increasing importance on creating social, healthy, inspiring and comfortable working environment for their employees and associates. Most businesses recognise that the quality of the workplace has also an impact on the employees’ performance, from the quality of the air, the amount of natural light to the ratio of green areas in the building.
Nordic Light, is an “A” class office building which has already acquired LEED Gold* certification and complied with the sustainability criteria of the international green building rating system with a remarkably high score. On 29th November Nordic Light was honoured with CIJ (Construction and Investment Journal) Award which is one of the most prestigious appreciations of the CEE office development industry. Honourers of the award found Nordic Light the Leading Green Building Development of the Year. The project comprises 26,200 m2 of office space as well as 1,800 m2 of retail space on 7 floors, with more than 400 underground parking spaces. Green solutions – including, amongst others, landscaped courtyard, green terraces, bicycle storage facilities, locker rooms and showers – along with energy efficiency were also given high priority. Concurrently with construction, the building’s immediate vicinity was also revamped. The passageway connecting Váci road and Visegrádi street creates a pleasant environment for tenants and nearby residents.
