We want to be a good neighbor

We want to be a good neighbor

The values we create reflect our interest in what is happening around us. We are not indifferent to the needs of people with special requirements and those facing difficulties. We also focus on communities that experience the effects of our actions every day. To work at our best, in line with our principles, we leverage our knowledge, skills, and exceptional teams, ready to go beyond their regular duties in social initiatives.

We don't create buildings; we create communities

It is important to us not only to construct buildings but also to develop the communities around them. We approach each place individually, striving to integrate projects into the surrounding space and engage in a dialogue with the community. We believe it is our responsibility to understand not only the needs of the business but also the needs of our future residents and neighbors.

That's why we create spaces for people! In our developments, like the H2Offices project, we focus on building a sense of community. The project represents a unique combination of human- and nature-centered design, emphasizing our belief in the importance of including natural elements in our built environments. At the heart of the complex, a large biodiverse and cozy garden with a lake serves as a tranquil oasis amidst the urban landscape, offering space for relaxation, informal gatherings, or spontaneous brainstorming sessions. The garden serves as a calming green environment for the building users and is accessible to the public.

We build spaces for meetings and relaxation

We are committed to initiatives that prioritize employee well-being and community engagement. From sustainability initiatives that reduce energy consumption to community events that foster a sense of belonging, we strive to make a positive impact in the neighborhoods where we operate.

In the H2Offices project, the large multipurpose garden with a water
feature is open to the public, serving as a meeting hub and a place for community life as well. When finalized, the entire complex will house retail units and other amenities for the convenience of building users and residents of the surrounding area. For example, the first phase of H2Offices is now home to the premium restaurant, Gourmenza, which offers dining options for both the business lunch crowd and those who prefer a quick but delicious meal.

At H2Offices, we actively engage with the community through various events and initiatives aimed at improving the neighborhoods we serve. These efforts not only improve the quality of life for the residents but also create a vibrant, connected community where everyone feels welcome.

H2Offices Phase I is located in the vicinity of basic essential services, allowing achievement of maximum points in LEED and WELL certification schemes for the walk and alternative transportation. Project ‘Walk Score’ is 91 out of 100 – and achieved the “Walker’s Paradise” badge – meaning daily errands do not require a car.

Skanska is committed to achieving top accessibility certifications for its buildings, starting with Nordic Light Trio and continuing with H2Offices, maintaining and enhancing the high accessibility standards. From the design phase, we focused on removing barriers, and ensuring all aspects of the building, from the external environment to internal facilities, are friendly to everyone. This includes motorized entrance doors, touchless solutions, wide access paths, dedicated restrooms for disabled people on every floor, and support services like sign language interpretation and portable induction loops for the hearing-impaired.

Always going the extra mile. At H2Offices we renovated and extended the pavement around the project, using concrete tiles that help to reduce the levels of harmful NOx particles in the air in this busy urban area. This provides a healthier space for pedestrians using the walkway.

A 200 m-long rooftop running track provides exercise opportunities, with a fantastic view of the city. Besides, an elevated walkway also supports the health and well-being of building users.
